Am I doing something wrong???

I've been using MFP for the last 3 weeks, this is the start of my fourth. I'm exercising 4/5 times a week and I have cut out fizzy drinks which were my real downfall before. I'm eating much healthier and sticking to my calorie intake. Despite all this hard work I am losing weight very very slowly.
I started off at 150lbs I am 5"2 so I looked very pudgy but not fat. I am down to 147lbs now after the 3 weeks. I have lost an inch on my arms and an inch on my thighs as well. My face is noticeably skinnier which is great.
How long will it be before the weight starts dropping off faster or am I best just maintaining my routine and let the weight go slowly?
Anyone in the same situation I'd love to hear from you

You're doing just fine. It's supposed to be a slow process.
It's frustrating, though. I want the fat to fall off overnight.0 -
A pound a week is perfect. The very best thing to have is patience. Keep doing what you are doing...it is working. Remember You did't put it on in a month or even 6. It will not come off very fast either.0

How old are you? If you are over 40 your metabolism will have changed slightly. How much of your caloric intake is carb related? Are they from veges and fruits or processed foods?
You are doing AWESOME...this is NOT the time to get discouraged!!!! Look where you were three weeks ago!!
Blessings,

Same here. I've lost 4lbs in 4 weeks. Very frustrating but everyone on here says that is the best way to lose weight. At least you know you are losing fat and not water or anything. Keep at it!0

Don't get down. It has taken me a month to lose 1 pound. I get very frustrated when the scales don't move but I am happy that I am losing inches. Its a slow process for me. I have to remind myself that this is not a race. I have a goal, and I now see it is going to take longer than I thought, but, I will get there.
Good luck to you!0 -
I'm right there with you. I've lost 4 pounds and I've been at it since first of June! I can understand your frustration cause I've felt that as well but giving up is NOT an option. It takes time so just keep doing what you're doing!0

A pound a week is where you want to be! A slower weight loss is more apt to succeed.0

It's been a month and you've lost inches and...you're complaining? LOL I think you've got your priorities messed up.0

If you are working out a lot, you may be putting on muscle, which weighs more than fat. Therefore you may drop inches before pounds. As long as you're making progress, don't worry so much about the scale. I once worked out with a trainer for 6 months to lose 10 pounds. I only lost about 6, but I lost 3 inches on my waist, and inch on my thighs and 2 inches in my hips. Hang in there!0

1 lb/week is normal and healthy loss0 -
A pound a week is a really good loss! Keep doing what you are doing. Getting healthy and staying that way is a lifetime commitment. Slow and steady is the best approach for long term success.0

Losing it slower works better. With logging your food and such you are learning to eat healthier which is one of the most important things. The number on the scale shouldn't be what drives you. You said that you have lost inches. That's the important part. The number on the scale can fluctuate so much. I weigh myself everyday, but I don't let that number define me. Instead, I measure monthly to see the major differences. Those numbers mean more to me. 1lb a week is a pretty good average.0

If you don't have huge amounts of weight to lose 1lb / week is really good. It slows down the closer you are to your 'goal'. If you are concerned you may want to look into the 'roadmap' http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/682138-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12 and make sure that you are eating enough calories for your age, size and activity level and not rely only on MFP.0

Keep it up girl, you are doing great! The fact that you can SEE and FEEL a difference is worth so much more than what the scale says!0

MFP definitely motivates me to keep going. I enjoy my new lifestyle and lots more energy.
I'll keep plugging away at it and I am sure by Christmas time I will notice a huge difference.
I'm only 24.
I've had my period this week and usually I have really heavy cramps but this week I don't even notice I have it! I'm hoping that more weight will come off once my period is over as I usual bloat during it0 -
What everyone said. One pound a week is what you should be losing and what you should be aiming to lose.
If you've got your goals set to 2 or 1.5 pounds a week, change it to one pound a week. Your body can only burn so much fat at at time anyway, so going lower on calories doesn't help.0 -
Sounds like you're doing great - the changes will come if you stick with it. Sounds like a good beginning!0

One pound a week is perfect at that weight. Keep doing what you're doing. I'm around the same weight, 153, and a lot of weeks I lose .5 a pound a week.0

You're doing everything right - keep your chin up and keep plugging away! A quick change in mindset will really help you see every pound as a victory, and that will also help motivate you to keep moving forward. Imagine every single pound as one that will NEVER come back - and if you keep losing at this rate, that is much more likely to be true!!
Yes, this time of month will slow things down, typically, but if you know to expect that, it becomes a non-issue.
Congrats on making good strides! :happy:0 -
You are doing perfect..the people that lose 2+ a week are heavier and it comes off easier...I am 219 and I lose generally 2lbs a week, but when I get down under 199 I know it's going to get harder. You don't have that much to lose, so it's going to be harder. IF anything, you are making progress!0

Good Morning! You are doing EXCELLENT! I am 5'2" as well but when I started 7 months ago, I weighed 220 pounds. I exercise no less than 5 days a week and am very diligent and honest about what I actually eat and I only weigh myself once a month! My last weigh in was Sunday and I am now down to 178. Continue doing what you're doing and you will difference and you're already seeing that you're losing inches so you're definitely on the right track! I have to always remind myself that all of my excess weight didn't appear overnight and I'm not going to be able to lose it overnight either!0
