Setting a good calorie goal

Well so far on my weight loss journey I have used a guided set calorie goal of around 1400-1500 calories per day. Recently I have been reading about knowing what your BMR is and knowing exactly how many calories you have been eating. My BMR suggests that I have a BMR of 1497 calories and that I should be eating on average 1900 calories. Currently MFP has me at a 1460 calories per day, I am satisfied hunger wise almost every day with that amount of calories, and when I exercise I usually have about less than half of the calories I burned in the form of a snack later in the day.

My question is, should I continue with the set calorie goal MFP has given me of 1460, or should I follow more closely to the recommended goal of 1900 from the BMR I found that I had?

Exactly. I lost 30 pounds total and had to adjust along the way when I plateaued. As long as what you are doing is working, you are eating enough (aka not going hungry), and your energy levels are good, don't sweat it!
