A bet - Who can lose the most weight?

So Me and my friend just started a bet this week.

We will weigh in every week and the person who loses the most weight that week is treated to dinner by the other person.

I want to get some thoughts on if anyone else has tried something like this and what kind of results they received?

I feel as though it is a good motivator but I can see it leading toward unhealthy eating habits... Ex. eating way too little just to win the bet that week.

Anyone have any input?

  • Weight loss is a personal thing to me. I think the contests made out of it contrbute to the crash diets that usually fail. I wouldn't participate, but that's me. Also, less pressure ;)

    If it works for you, do it I suppose, just make sure the reward dinner is a healthy one :)
