But I got my first "stitch in my side" while running today! I have only been running for three weeks now but for some reason this makes me feel like I'm "officially" a runner. lol I'm sure it doesn't indicate great things but I like knowing that I am accomplishing something!

That's awesome! Keep it up! I usually set a distance goal for myself, and despite however many "stiches" i get, I continue on even if I have to walk briskly. Complete the mission regardless of how fast I do it, and then the next day i do a little more and more and more.0

I'm doing the couch to 5k program, just completed week 2 day 2 and I'm in shock already that I was able to get it done! Can't wait for Wednesday (although I will to let my legs get a break).0

I listened to a podcast for Couch to 5K. The lady voice had 2 useful recommendations for how to deal with stitches;
1. slow down a little
2. when you breath out, push your stomach out, repeat until the stitch goes away.0
