Does anyone else just not like snacking?

One of the things I've learned about myself lately is that I really don't like snacking & it doesn't help me with weight loss at all.
For me, when I'm hungry, and I eat something, I want to feel satisfied. I want to feel full (but not that uncomfortable, I just ate a big mac and fries & can't walk type of full). Pleasantly full, like "ahh, that was nice. now I'll go lay down and read a book or something".
When I'm hungry, and I eat a snack, I'm left in this very annoying state between still being hungry & being slightly less hungry. And it doesn't matter what I snack on - peanuts, almonds, cheesestick & an apple (fruits of any kind are the WORST and just leave me hungrier!). Generally if its below 200 calories (unless its like, a chicken breast but then who snacks on chicken breasts?) & feels like a snack, I'm never satisfied from it. And what usually happens is, since I'm not satisfied, I either want my next big meal right after that, or I want more snacks to fill the void - either way I'm left thinking about more food.
I would much rather just wait, and be hungry, until its time for a good sized meal that will leave me in that pleasant state of fullness & make that extra hour or two of hunger all worth it.
Does anyone else feel similarly?

Yeah I get what you mean, it all depends how big your stomach is maybe and the types of foods you eat maybe. For me, I have trouble eating one set meal, I tend to just snack the day away because it tends to fill me up quick and it's just habit lol.0

Especially things like nuts. Five almonds is not going to fill me up for more than 3 minutes. I want to feel slightly uncomfortable when I've finished eating.0

I am just like you and have stopped following the ,6 small meals a day, or 8 small meals a day... or however much it is now.
I am much less likely to overeat when I have 3 good meals a day. Sometimes it's even just two.
I say do what works for you.0 -
I had the same issue I actually gained weight from eating those small meals a day every couple of hours because it just led to overeating now I have 2-3 big meals0

Me too! It was driving me crazy to eat that way: 3 not-so-big meals and 2 snacks that took away calories from the 3 meals. I've switched to two bigger meals and one small snack. It works for me. I can't eat a 400 calorie meal. It's got to be about 600-700 to make it worth it.0

Agreed to all. It's only going to tempt me to eat. 3 meals a day is for me. That being said, why not snack on chicken breast? Protein is probably the best thing to snack on anyways. I like canned chicken or a small portion of the meat I make up ahead of time. There's a reason fruit leaves you hungier. It spikes your blood sugar and then makes it crashes causing you to want to eat more. Used to snack on oranges all day, and it was a constant cycle.0

Yes, I'm the same way, which is why I only eat two meals a day. You might want to look into Intermittent Fasting. You gotta do what works for you.0

Yup. To be successful, the real thing is to figure out what works for you. I started in the spring doing lots of little snack-meals throughout the day, and I always felt hungry and counting down the minutes to the next mini-snack. I've now figured out what works for me: a good breakfast, a small lunch, an afternoon snack (e.g. some fruit or some Greek yogurt), and a biggish dinner. You just need to figure out what works for you that won't leave you feeling deprived.0
