Has anyone taken this?
Love?
Hate?
Any comments?
I've been taking this for about 6 weeks now and have lost 17 lbs. I had weight loss surgery in 2005 and then had 2 kids. I'm trying to lose the 50 pounds I've put back on since surgery. I've heard great things from my doctor about successes, but also a pretty great risk for hypertension if used more than about 6 months....

I took phentermine for about 4 months 15 years ago. I was around 18 at the time.
I stopped using it because it felt like speed, basically. However, it did help me break the cycle of addictive eating and get me to a point where after I quit taking the pills I was able to drop about 60 pounds total and keep it off for about 8 years. I dropped about 20 pounds on the pills, and probably around 2 years of just watching what I ate to get off the other 40 on my own.
After hitting my 30's and going through a move, I've gained it back. This time I'm going a different route for weight loss, I don't want to feel all jittery and my mood swings on that medicine were scary for my loved ones. lol!
But yes, it worked for me! But don't expect to take it forever. I think it's ok to take for a short time if you need a little willpower boost to get you going.0 -
I took it for a few months or so, like a half of pill was all. It will supress your appetite, but I do not recommend it. I literally lost half my hair from it! This was years ago. I also gained what I lost back after stoppping them. I just recommend eating good, and exercise, because that is somehting that you can do for life!0

hmmm.... I don't notice any side effects at all. I was told it's safe for a short time, no more than 4-6 months. I think it works, but not all that great in my opinion.... I do take the full and highest dose. I have been doing everything correctly, but this seems to help. Before I always felt hungry. I don't know why, but my guess is that nothing stays in my stomach for very long and I just feel starving all the time. It's not a fun feeling. NO matter how much I eat at once or how healthy, I still feel totally empty 30 minutes later. Add that to the mental side...not easy!0
