    See your GP about this.

Is there a reason for your lack of appetite in particular?

Good food doesn't have to be particularly pricey so i'm sure you would be able to find something out there.

You definitely need more calories. Are the supplements actually cheaper than regular food, though? I think the financial concern sounds like a smokescreen. You should probably see your doctor, but in any case, you do need more calories going in. I suppose the supplement would be better than nothing.

    ^^This!

If the nutritional supplements you're thinking of starting are cheaper than actual food, they're probably not as nutritionally sound as they are marketed to be. High quality nutritional shakes cost quite a lot!

just be wary of how much sugar is in the drink. Have u tried Premier Protein (chocolate!) with 1 gram of sugar and 5 carbs? I love those and they r only 160 calories so I drink them with lunch or after a workout if I don't have time to make a protein shake. But if it is your lunch, make sure u r eating something too! Goodbye and good luck:)

I wouldn't use a "nourishment" drink because they're full of rubbish, loaded with sugar, and especially unhelpful if you want to lose weight... but I agree that you have to up your intake of food - from looking at your food diary particularly good fats and protein.

    Can I suggest a few easy snacks/meals:
    - nuts (nutrient dense, small and easy to grab and go)
    - natural/greek yoghurt (keep a few pots in your fridge, light on the tummy, good protein)
    - tin of tuna with good mayonnaise
    - boiled eggs/omelette
    - dark chocolate (covered nuts/dried fruit)

If you like the idea of a drink/smoothie then making your own would be soooo much better than the cans!
    - Buy some pure whey protein powder
    - blend with water or milk/almond/nut milks/coconut milk/yoghurt
    - add fruit (i like adding frozen fruit and it's cheaper to buy big bags of frozen berries aswell)
    - you can even add some cocoa/coffee/vanilla extract to add flavour

If you are often short on time perhaps it would be helpful to make a large batch of something you can have at meal times at have them ready to go in the fridge/freezer (like stew/casserole/ready made salads) and prepare snacks in advance as well to grab and go.

    Good luck!
