See your GP about this.
Is there a reason for your lack of appetite in particular?
Good food doesn't have to be particularly pricey so i'm sure you would be able to find something out there.0 -
You definitely need more calories. Are the supplements actually cheaper than regular food, though? I think the financial concern sounds like a smokescreen. You should probably see your doctor, but in any case, you do need more calories going in. I suppose the supplement would be better than nothing.0

^^This!
If the nutritional supplements you're thinking of starting are cheaper than actual food, they're probably not as nutritionally sound as they are marketed to be. High quality nutritional shakes cost quite a lot!0 -
just be wary of how much sugar is in the drink. Have u tried Premier Protein (chocolate!) with 1 gram of sugar and 5 carbs? I love those and they r only 160 calories so I drink them with lunch or after a workout if I don't have time to make a protein shake. But if it is your lunch, make sure u r eating something too! Goodbye and good luck:)

I wouldn't use a "nourishment" drink because they're full of rubbish, loaded with sugar, and especially unhelpful if you want to lose weight... but I agree that you have to up your intake of food - from looking at your food diary particularly good fats and protein.
Can I suggest a few easy snacks/meals:
- nuts (nutrient dense, small and easy to grab and go)
- natural/greek yoghurt (keep a few pots in your fridge, light on the tummy, good protein)
- tin of tuna with good mayonnaise
- boiled eggs/omelette
- dark chocolate (covered nuts/dried fruit)
If you like the idea of a drink/smoothie then making your own would be soooo much better than the cans!
- Buy some pure whey protein powder
- blend with water or milk/almond/nut milks/coconut milk/yoghurt
- add fruit (i like adding frozen fruit and it's cheaper to buy big bags of frozen berries aswell)
- you can even add some cocoa/coffee/vanilla extract to add flavour
If you are often short on time perhaps it would be helpful to make a large batch of something you can have at meal times at have them ready to go in the fridge/freezer (like stew/casserole/ready made salads) and prepare snacks in advance as well to grab and go.
