If you could only choose one

If you could only choose one exercise to do for the rest of your life which one would you choose and why?

Mine would be running :) I love the feeling of accomplishment after and it amazes me that I can do it.

Running because I love it. But I also really like lifting...that's a tough choice.

Hard call. Right now, I get the most out of running. However, I think biking would be more sustainable over the rest of my life, so I guess I'd pick that.

    Barbell squats.
  • My greatest calorie burner and mind zone is freestyle lap swimming. I find that it is very stimulating. The body has no stress on joints, all muscles are used. So go find a cement pond and have some fun. The Gym pool is the best.

Running I get such a buzz out of a good run. I also really like lifting though and love the changes to my body since beginning.

    If only one thing then...

    Swimming.

You can work on cardio fitness and get some general strength conditioning without too much joint loading.

It's just a well balanced exercise.

Running. If I keep the heart healthy it will help quality of life more than any other single exercise.

Swimming would be a great choice because it adds some upper body work, but laps in a pool would drive me nuts. I love the variety of being out on the road or trails.

Mine would also be running, I love biking & rowing etc but running has been the activity that has allowed me to challenge myself the most. It's also an incredible way to deal with stress, almost like a form of meditation.
