Baby on Board - And I Want to Stay Healthy!

Hello everyone! I felt a little silly filling out my profile when I had to put that my goal is to gain a pound a week until I'm up to 150 lbs, but it's only because I'm pregnant right now, and haven't been able to gain much weight at all yet. I'm 20 weeks along and expecting our first little guy. We recently found out that he will be born with CDH (a diaphragmatic hernia) which is a life threatening condition. His diaphragm didn't form all the way during the first few weeks of development, and now his stomach and part of his intestines are up in the left side of his chest. When he's born he will have to have surgery to rearrange his organs and his diaphragm will have to be repaired. We are grateful to be blessed with the opportunity of being parents (I have wanted to be a mom ever since my hubby and I were married 3 years ago), and we hope that we can make it through this tough time! Other than that, I thought it would be good to join a forum like this because I really want to stay healthy and fit throughout the rest of my pregnancy (20 weeks to go!), and I also need to start putting on some weight! I just want to do everything that I can until our little guy arrives to help him be strong and be able to make it through his surgery! I feel like I just wrote a novel, but I am really excited to be part of this community!
