IMO, when you carry, you have to set yourself above the stuff that would potentially escalate a situation. Sounds like you did just right there. I also carry when legal.0

What a beetch! I would have laughed loudly at her.0

I live in Arizona, am a CCW holder as well, and carry whenever feasible. I am not sure how it jumped from a self important (substitute word here) person being a complete jack@ss at a restaurant to the CCW issue. As Cyngen said, you need to make sure that when you carry you do set yourself above those situations and act/react appropriately. I think you were fine in your reactions and hope I would have been as level headed. I am not sure I would have been so civil in my response had she been threatening my time and enjoyment with my burrito con salsa verde.0

What if that woman at the Mexican restaurant pulled that act with a guy who just got laid off this morning, found out his wife was cheating on him, and has major mental issues. He's liable to blow her brains out of her head and right into the Chili Verde.
^^^ This is bad but I LOL'd so hard when I read this part.0 -
I would have and have walked away. People like that are just not worth my time or effort.0

I have to confess, I have anger issues. If I encountered your salsa station woman, I'd probably have been arrested or at minimum banned from that restaurant for giving her a piece of my mind. When it comes to conflict I am NEVER the bigger person, I go straight into survival mode. :explode:
This, I'm bad with conflict resolution. I may have actually throat punched her if it was a bad day...on a good day, I'd call her out, and probably curse a lot...
That's not survival mode, my friends. Survival mode is being able to walk away...not being carried away in an ambulance or handcuffs.0
