Heart Rate Monitors

I've been considering purchasing a heart rate monitor to wear throughout the day and mainly during workouts. I was hoping someone could reccomend a certain brand. I'm looking at the MIO Active's simply because they link to myfitnesspal.... Does this monitor provide accurate calorie info ect?
