Hi
What helped me is gradually to reduce the "snack food" - going "cold turkey" only increased my hunger and cravings.
Instead of 5 biscuits - I had 4, then a week later 3, later 2 .... and now they are a treat now and again.
I became a "tea junkie" - everytime I feel like I need to stuff something in my mouth (outside my meals and allocated snacks) I have a cup of tea! And not the boring Tetleys with milk.
They are hundreds of different kinds with all types of flavour (my favourite is black or green CHAI and CHOCOLATE tea)
Yes, it is not a hot chocolate and it is not a biscuit - but it has NO calouries and after a couple of weeks "re-training" your tastebuds - its a great substitute.
Also, all the extra liquid is cleansing your kidneys and rehydrates your skin (hello - good looking glow) - and thats more worth than a biscuit (well, maybe not all the time :-)
My Mantra is: A treat now and then - but being good most of the time...thats what counts.0 -
thanku for your reply. I just dont understand why i am finding it so hard now and eating so many chocolate and crisp etc. I have put on so much weight than before. its really depressing me how big I am now. I can feel it too.0

Try replacing your bad foods with healthy alternatives that are lower calorie like fruit/veggies. Also keeping your self distracted or motivated helps, try watching some youtube videos that inspire getting in shape or healthy eating0

Try swapping the biscuits for some mixed nuts and raisins as a starting place, or with a raw food bar such as Nakd or Trek, or even some apple rice cakes (you can find those in the baby food section usually if in Europe).
Swap chocolate for dark chocolate(at least 70%) as less will satisfy you.
I swear by low calorie hot chocolate also.
Get some really nice fruit teas, I get Teapigs which do all kinds of interesting flavours, even a chocolate one.
Snack on apples and carrots, they give some crunch factor.
Get a yoghurt and freeze it so it is like ice cream, or freeze a banana and blend it, which apparently also resembles ice cream.
Just research and find healthier alternatives to the less healthy things or work on reducing them gradually.0 -
