The whole 30 is a very restrictive eating plan for 30 days (google it for questions about it, I am still learning). It is not a cure all, I have lost too much weight and am a realist to think it is, however I need to get back on track as I have been floundering and since it takes about a month to form a habit, i am actually trying to kick my sugar/massive carb addiction and that is my big motivation for embarking on such craziness, not to cut out carbs totally in the end, just to get them in control...besides the fact that I can do this...I can do this...I can do this...lol...I think I am still trying to convince myself.. Anyway a post just solidifies that I can and will do this and kick it's *kitten*. If anyone wants to join me in this craziness, I would love to have support and of course I will support you as well.

I just finished the Whole30 a couple of weeks ago.. I had some really good results from it. Now I just try to eat mostly Whole30 during the weekdays and allow myself leeway (note: nachos, beer, and ice cream) on the weekends. Good luck! It is tough, especially in social situations! The hardest part for me was not drinking, not chewing gum, and I missed the sweets a lot but surprisingly it wasn't that hard not to eat them..

While you are limited to only whole foods, it's only restrictive if you don't get creative. Check out http://www.thegraciouspantry.com. AWESOME website with all "clean", whole recipes. Deeeeeelicious!

I couldn't do that one because it eliminates all dairy and legumes.

    Good luck to you!

Also, my favorite resource for recipes is www.paleomg.com

You HAVE to try the banana bread.. I just made a fresh batch this morning. Just substitute the TBS of honey for an extra banana and it turns out fantastically.

I also like Nerdfitness.com's simple recipes! And I have an app for my iPhone called Fast Paleo. It's pretty sweet.

Wow, thank you so much for your suggestions, I will for sure go to those resources, they are awesome. You got me when you said no chewing gum...peppermint gum is a requirement for me...yicks
