STOP comparing yourself to others

I love this woman and her views on things. I have encountered this on here and in my own life, so I thought I would share this with you.
Is perfection getting in the way of your body image?
What is that exactly? The pictures of models that are paid *because* they look a certain way? The unrealistic proportions of Barbies, Kens, and action figures? If it's these images that are haunting you stop. Stop letting them get in the way of YOUR best. Because you don't have to look like a model or an athlete to look and feel fabulous. Nothing wrong with shooting high, you should, but stop putting yourself down if you're a little off on hitting the bulls eye.
3 Ways to Stop Hacking at Your Body Image
1. Stop reading all the fitness magazines. Those guys and girls are chosen specifically because they look a certain way. Use real people and real transformations for your inspiration, not photo shopped ads and articles.
2. Stop comparing yourself. Seems hard when you're at the gym, but just keep your eyes and your mind on your job at hand. And when you do see that fit guy or girl, know they didn't start there. They started out at the beginning just like you. Look to them as inspiration of what *can be*, not what you're not.
3. Push out the mean thoughts about yourself. Just stop them in their tracks. Ask yourself, if someone talked to you the way you talked to yourself, how much would you take? How far would you get? Start *building yourself up*. Talk to yourself like you would your best friend.... because in the end, you are.
Keep your eyes forward on your goal and make all actions act in conjunction with that goal.

AMEN!!!! I'm guilty of it too and not feeling "perfect" enough. Then I remember I'm a formerly obese child who is now a 40-yr old who is in better shape than most of the teens on my bus and I shut myself up with that lol.
ONLY COMPARE YOURSELF WITH YOURSELF! PROGRESS, NOT PERFECTION!! Perfect is boring anyway lol0 -
Great reminder to me as well... Thanks for sharing!0
