Calories or Macros?

Which do you pay more attention to? Calories or macros?

I've always just counted calories on here and ignored everything else, but as I get closer to my goal weight (I'm within 20 lbs), I'm wondering if it would be beneficial to pay more attention to my macros. Will it help me lose weight faster or what?

    You won't lose weight faster but it can help with body composition

    If you meet your macro goals you'll also meet your calorie goals

    I agree with @drmerc... Meeting your macro goals will help you meet your calorie goals, so I would focus on the macros.

    I, too, am focusing on the last 15-20 lbs and I've turned from counting calories to my macros, more importantly getting 20-25g of fiber a day and getting all of my protein in. My percentage is 40% carbs 40% protein 20% fat.
