Why is it that when I eat carbs with every meal I start to gain weight? I have experimented with this for 3 weeks. The first week my only carbs were fruits and veggies and I lost 5 lbs. My second week I included either bread, pasta or rice once per day and I lost 4 lbs. But this week I had bread with breakfast and either pasta or rice with dinner and I am up 2 lbs. WTF!!! I freakin love carbs why are they doing this to me!!! :(

A 2 lb flux could be anything. You haven't tested this enough to blame carbs.

I am sensitive to carbs also, just eat 1 to 2 servings a day and see if that helps.

Your body stores carbs, and when it does, it stores extra water along with them.

Sodium and carbs... two big water weight holders, sodium often being the bigger one.

I find that rice, in particular, always raises my weight the following day. It holds water in my system and I lose that weight when it passes through my digestive tract.

i agree with a previous poster. A two pound gain could have to do with your level of exercise, your time of the month, .....just about anything, and one week of gain does not prove that carbs are the culprit. I would give it more time. Look at the overall picture. You've lost 7 pounds (net) in three weeks. You're doing great!
