calorie counting help!

i've been wondering this for a while! when i work i usually eat 1,200 calories in a day. today i worked for 8 hours in retail so i was on my feet the whole time. i wasn't walking around fast but i was walking, hanging clothes, bending over, moving boxes... so i put in my exercise as 'walking 3mph' for 8 hours which came up with a 1,300 calorie burn... is this right?!
so does that mean that i actually didn't consume any calories today (or i'm -100 calories?) because i burnt more than i ate, even if i ate a few squares of chocolate and a coffee?
please someone explain it to me

you need to change your activity setting if you work on your feet all day, and then just eat back any additional exercise cals. if you are on 1200 i would guess you are set to sedentary?0

walking 3mph for 8 hours would mean you walked 24 miles. You obviously did not walk 24 miles inside a shop, so it's wrong.
You should change your activity level up to active and not log this. It's not exercise, it's day to day life (you also burn energy from sitting, from eating, from sleeping and you don't log these - they are all built into your "allowance").0 -

nah i'm already set to active, it says my daily consumption should be 1,380 even though i still eat less than that0 -
