Insomnia and late night eating

Lately, I can never fall asleep because my mind just won't stop going on and on. After an hour or two of this, I get really hungry and end up eating a lot, usually ruining my cal intake for the day. Anyone know of better ways to cure insomnia? I'm not an emotional eater usually, but nothing calms me down quite like food when I can't sleep.

Holy moly, I hope someone has a cure for this because I totally do this too. I can be so good all day and then late at night I'll ruin it all by comforting myself with food!! What are we like!?

I have the same issue. Hot tea has helped the most, my favoritve is Rooibos, which is a red teasan. I also find that when I'm having a hard time falling asleep if I try to keep my eyes open and focus on keeping my mind focussed on something soothing like floating on a lake, I end up falling asleep faster than trying to fall asleep.

@alaskaang: Oooh, I'll try this, hot tea or milk with honey. Soothing but not full of bad cals. Thanks!
