The F4 is not coded, which means if you work out at a gym it won't work and you would have to get the F6 since it is coded. If you workout at home or go for walks. The F4 would be fine in my opinion.

I was reading online a bit about different HRMs. The Polars sure seem nice. But I saw several reviews that complained about the batteries, and that you have to send the entire thing back to Polar to get the battery replaced when it dies. Any opinions, Polar users?

I got the F6 this weekend and tried it out today, so far I LOVE it and I feel likes its worth the money. Mine cost me 100 bucks at Sports Authority. Ive heard nothing but great reviews on the F6 so I went with it and im glad I did so far. Can't wait to use it more!! :)

Go for the F7 instead. It's the same price as the F6 on amazon.com, and you can service it yourself. The F6 has to be sent back to the manufacturer occassionally for service on your dime. I have the F7 & love it.
