Buddy Costumes..... for Court

We just found out that we have a special judge sitting on the bench October 31. This particular judge is retired, and arguably the coolest judge, ever (he's always supported my career).

A friend of mine and I want to dress-up funny that day. I'm looking for ideas.

Guidelines:

- We're both dudes
- Our costumes must include a jacket of some nature, and a tie (local rules of court)
- Can't be overly offensive (which is where I instantly draw a blank)
- Must be funny

Thoughts?

Laurel and Hardy? "That's another fine mess you've gotten me into!"

Abbott and Costello? You could adapt "Who's on first?" to a court procedure, perhaps?

The judge will probably recognize duos from this era and they wore suits.

The student at Hogwarts idea is cute.

You could dress as tacky nerds and wear mismatching ties and pants that are too short, don't forget the glasses with the tape like Steve Urkel

Yogi Bear and the Park Ranger?

Fred Flinstone and Barney Rubble? (Barney doesn't wear a tie, but I'm sure people would get the reference)
