Gluten Free with PCOS?

Has anyone with PCOS had luck with a gluten-free diet? I tend to have problems with my bowels. I also don't have a gallbladder because I had it removed.

I carry most of my weight around my stomach and I sometimes get very bloated after I eat something high in carbohydrates. It also sometimes makes me sick to my stomach and I have diarrhea quite frequently.

I remember reading/hearing that women with PCOS are more like to have/develop celiacs disease...so it may help. Especially if you think gluten may be causing problems. No reason not to try it for a while and see if it makes a difference.

    It's different for everyone.

Try it for 3-6 weeks and find out. What's the worst that can happen? It's not a hugely difficult diet to follow.
  • True... I think the only way to try out is to try it.
