Worried

I'm going on a trip this weekend, and will be fed FABULOUS food, by a great kitchen staff. I'll be going on hikes, and other fun activities I don't normally get to partake in. It's camping for grownups, with ALL the comforts of home. My concern is gaining weight during this trip. I've lost 27 pounds, and seem to have "plateaued". Any suggestions?
I could use a lot of friends and support right now.

Is there any way to peek at the menus beforehand, so you can make some decisions about which foods fit more easily into your plan? Sounds as though you'll have some exercise calories to work with as well with the hiking and such.
If you've hit a plateau, you may find that this weekend of relaxed eating and different exercise jumpstarts weight loss again. I know it sounds crazy, but it often does!
Try to remember to enjoy yourself and the company!0 -
The food is kind of a buffet/family style (all you can eat). It's always delicious, so menu doesn't matter. It's going to be hard to make healthy choices even though they will be available. When they bring out platters of fruit, cheese, crackers & pepperoni for snacks in the evening, that's one of my weaknesses. :drinker:
I always enjoy the company. There's always a fantastic group of women there. When we're not doing activities, we're playing games, or doing jigsaw puzzles. Lots of lauging!
I'll try to just enjoy myself and enjoy the company, as suggested. Either way, I'll be surprised when I come home Sunday afternoon, and weigh myself. :noway:0 -
I have just got back from a 4 day break which was quite similar - Each day I chose the meal I was going to really push the boat out for! So I ate sensibly for breakfast and then had what I wanted for lunch or dinner (not both) with all the walking, cycling and swimming I came home 8lbs lighter!!!
Plan, stick to it and ENJOY.0
