Used to be a dancer

But then my knees started failing me 18 months ago.
Then, 9 months ago, I kicked a 20-year tobacco addiction.
Without dancing or smoking, I've put on 30 pounds -
which may not sound like much to some people - but I'm barely 5ft tall -
so that's like 60 pounds for other (taller) people.
I was depressed and resigned to becoming a chubby lady,
but I'm ready to do the work now.
Thanks for this community and the support!

"Dancer" is kind of a loose term, so not sure what kind of dance you were in, but if you can find some that isn't as stressful on your knees, maybe get back into that to get your motivation and fun factor.
I think you'll find that just being active and being aware of what you're eating will help you loads in dropping those 30 lbs. Welcome and good luck!!0 -
Well firstly, congratulations on quitting smoking! That's a positive step and if you can do that, you can definitely lose the weight!
Just start off with little goals and soon enough you'll be feeling great!0
