I did WW several years ago. I lost about 40 pounds, but it took a long time, and I was constantly up and down in weigh-ins. I feel it didn't teach me how to eat correctly, either. Like others have said, pre-packaged food was kinda pushed, and didn't teach me anything that would be useful down the road for maintenance. Since joining the online communities both here and another site, I have learned HOW to eat correctly. I have lost over 50 pounds since starting here in the beginning of March, and every single week showed a loss on weigh-in with two exceptions of a 0.2 lb "gain" that wasn't really a gain and disappeared in a bigger loss on the next weigh-in. Throw in the huge community support, and the fact that it's free to use MFP, it is my opinion that MFP wins hands down. At least for me. Best wishes to you and your wife, whatever is decided!0
