Seriously, who am I? NSVs for the win!

My decision to finally, seriously attempt to lose weight was triggered by high blood pressure. I had gone to my doctor and although he had given me 3 months to lower my blood pressure on my own, I hadn't done it. A month before my return appointment I decided I didn't want to accept being overweight and simply take blood pressure medicine - I wanted to put myself first and take care of me the right way.

I went for my second follow-up today. My doctor commended me on my dedication and results. Although my blood pressure is still in the "high normal" range, I'm no longer have stage 1 hypertension. I've lost 24.4 lbs and I look great! Additionally, in the past few days I've noticed these NSVs...things I would have NEVER imagined. 4 months ago.

1. I have more energy and I WANT to move/exercise more.
2. My palate is starting to change. I don't want sweets as much and "junk food" doesn't taste as good anymore. I splurged at Target last night - I bought Lean Pockets and Green Giant frozen boxed vegetables for my lunch!
3. My doctor is an hour away so I had to leave the house at 6:30 this morning to make sure I made it to my 8 am appointment this morning. I went through the Starbucks drive thru and got a venti soy misto (130 cal) and a spinach/feta wrap so that I could minimize sugar and maximize protein.
4. I'm starting to like to shop again and I am confident to try "newer" trends. I'm wearing skinny jeans and cannot wait to get a pair of skinny pants for work.
5. Diet pop tastes good!
6. I drink between 98-128 oz of water a day.
7. I am able to take things one day at a time and make decisions for now, to guarantee my succcess today.

Thank you all SO much for your support and encouragement. It wouldn't be the same without you!
