Hi ![:) :)](https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/resources/emoji/smile.png)
I am trying to work out how many calories to eat, and Im confused by all the BMR and TDEE numbers!
My BMR is 1978
My TDEE is 2722
For the last 2 weeks i have been averaging at 2000 cals daily - should I up ths or carry on? Or even lower it? Im confused.

Most people on here would suggest staying between those 2 numbers. I think 2000cals/day is acceptable. However, my fitness pal would probably suggest a lower number for your calorie intake. What I would do: If you stick with your 2000 cal diet, do not eat back your calories when exercising. If you stick with MFP's recommendation, then eat back your burned calories.0

How much do you have to lose?
I wouldn't eat less than a 20% deficit--2177 calories in your case.0 -
Thanks for the replies. Have a LOT of weight to lose. Probably at least 140 lbs. My only exercise is walking (I dont drive so walk everywhere).0
