Digesting Spinach- Do I need an oil?

Hey guys- I need some advice on this!

I was recently told that if I'm eating raw spinach without some type of oil, it won't digest properly and I might as well be eating grass.
Does anyone know how this works?

If I'm eating it with other veggies in a wrap, will something else in there help me digest it properly, or MUST I have some type of oily dressing? :/

Fat soluble vitamins benefit greatly from having some fats served along side them. However, it not an all or nothing sort of deal. You can benefit from having some sort of oil or other fatty item to go with it (dressing etc.).

However, if the salad is a SIDE to a regular meal that contains fats, then you're totally fine.

Well, maybe I should describe the meal to find out whether or not there's truly an issue. :) I eat this often so my fingers are crossed.

    -Spinach Pesto Wrap
    -Spinach
    -Red Onion
    -Green Peppers
    -Sprouts
    -Pickles
    -Cucumber
    -Parmesan Cheese (less than tsp)

Do you think the bread or cheese would be enough to help break it down for digestion?

The cellulose in uncooked spinach is hard to digest, adding fat or whatever sounds like a myth. The fiber content is only 2% so it's nothing to worry about, it'll find its own way out in the end.
