Predisone/Lofgren's Syndrome and Losing Weight

I am Prednisone for Lofgren's Syndrome and it has put a little weight on me. I've been taking it for over six weeks and will be on it another six with an increased dose. It has caused swelling in my left ankle so I am unable to exercise. If anyone has dealt with Lofgren's or has had success losing weight despite of the Prednisone, I'd love to hear from you.
