has anyone on here used slimquick (regular, caffeine free, or razor extreme)? what were your thoughts on the product? did you have any success with it? did you have any side effects?

Replies

  • It seemed to give me energy. But, no weight loss. Just my experience.

My mother and I are both using slimquick ultra.

Mom the pills, I the drink mix.

I only use it when I know I've eaten something SUPER salty like those maruchan soups
My mom takes the pills JUST before dinner.
She's seen results but I know that won't last.

    I've seen some results
but I'm only using the drink mix as a mirror force (Yu-Gi-Oh anyone ?)

I admit I used it. I still have a few of the drink packets left. I like them and they work but I think it's just water weight. Now I just buy the crystal light energy packets, same energizing effect but super cheap. I tried the razor and I like them because they made me feel weird, like bad, just like weird and made me want to work out. I had to stop taking them because I now take perscription medications. I would only take 1 razor a day when I took them though.
  • Just another product that preys on people looking for a quick fix. The weight loss industry is a multi-billion dollar industry banking on people looking for the next quick fix to the weight sorrows.

If I am coming across like a jerk, it's only because I see products like this year after year with no success rates to back up their claims.

    1. Eat in a deficit.
    2. Lift heavy weights
    3. Get plenty of sleep.
    4. Repeat

Not a quick fix, but a sure way of doing it right.

To mimic what 78octane said... no weight loss supplement will improve the amount of weight loss over a basic calorie deficit.

    ^^ What he said!

I tried the green bean coffee extract and the raspberry ketones that Dr. Oz raved about - it did nothing but waste my money. I tried Slim Quick and PGX with the same results. They're just gimmicks, in my opinion. (I know I don't look like I should be giving opinions based on how I look in my profile photo, but believe me, I've been desperate enough to try these things and realized after forking out the money and getting my hopes up that they don't work.)

My aunt used alli and lost like 80 lbs she's kept it off for about a yr now with like little to no effort, she's actually trying to gain now and it's hard for her.. Odd I know? My moms using alli now at the advice of her sister my aunt lol. & she's lost about 20 lbs so far.. I must admit it does work while I exercised and ate right my mom invented her own diet lol. Meaning that she was not on a damn diet lol. But it's working. Good luck

From a nutritional standpoint, I agree with you. But you can eat 1200 calories of crap and still lose weight. This is why stuff like the cookie diet works. If you want to do body recomposition (maintain muscle and cut fat), then the types of food you eat is critical.

Let's say your liver weighs a pound. Keep drinking this stuff and you will at least lose a pound.

Unlike the unsubstantiated claims of OTC pills, the Alli is actually a half-strength version of a prescription wt loss pill. I take 2 alli and it REALLY WORKS. Of course you still have to watch and eat low fat, but that's the point.

If you don't intend to do it for the rest of your life, then you shouldn't do it now. No such thing as a permanent quick fix. Eat right and exercise.

Except that low fat diets are not as effective as other types of diets; high protein/low carb. The only thing low fat does is restrict calories and force you to get calories from carbs or protein. The associated weight loss from alli is more likely from the fear of crapping yourself, causing you to severely restrict calories.

My aunt. Doesn't take alli anymore? And she's still maintained her weight.

I dnt think my aunt been walking around for the past yr in fear of pooping herself? Lol. So it obviously worked for her it's just a suggestion to the OP. everyone's so quick to shut down OTC diet pills or just diet pills in general, but some do work . And no not all do you have to forever take.. Wtf?

Read it again. I didn't say that it makes you take a "dump". I've known several people that have tried that stuff that had an uncontrollable orange oily discharge issue while taking it. I'm not grossed out by my own poop (where you got that, I have no idea).

Perhaps they abused it.. Ur supposed to try and eat low fat if u gorge at oily fatty fried foods I could see how they'd have uncontrollable issues my mom hasn't neither has my aunt. I think it helps because for some they don't go well with diet or excercise .. It gives them a diff kind of goal I.e. healthy eating

Maybe. That would make sense. I don't know that much about it but after they told me about their "complications", I couldn't believe they kept taking it. lol. I'd totally draw the line at "greasy panties"

lol. i have heard great things about alli working. it does say in the instructions that come with it that it is advised that you havre an extra pair of pants with you at all times (like in your car, back pack, large, purse, or something) because of anal leakage. lol. when i read it, i was like, now, this...THIS is something to stop and make me think.

:) I am glad that your mom and aunt have had such success with it!! i don't have the willpower to stay away frm things like pizza for forever, so the daunting thought of "oily panties" as another poster put it has stopped me from trying it!! haha :)

I heard alli works by not letting your body absorb as much of the fat you're eating so if you eat bad you have that greaasy pany issue. Gross. If you just eat healthier you won't have that issue or need alli.
