I started this journey in June 2011 after a disaster left me feeling helpless and hopeless. I was physically unable to assist with recovery and assistance efforts. I would have been in the way and more of a danger to others and myself. I had just attended my step-grandson's high school graduation, and this is what I looked like:
I was weighing in at an embarrassing 282 lbs.
By October 2011, I was asked to take on a new position as a full time associate working year round. I had lost about 30 lbs. at this point.![5r0k.jpg](http://i47.tinypic.com/5r0k.jpg)
I stalled out for quite awhile; a new job, the holidays, the one year anniversary of my Mom's death all took their toll, but I tried to pay attention and was down about 40 lbs by April.![348lr92.jpg](http://i48.tinypic.com/348lr92.jpg)
That is when I kicked it up quite a bit and have finally hit the 70 lb. mark. I'm feeling better than ever and much more confident. Only 12 more pounds til "Onederland"!![21b5h6f.jpg](http://i45.tinypic.com/21b5h6f.jpg)
If I can do this, anyone can with some hard work, dedication and realistic expectations!
