Dangerously High Levels of Arsenic in Rice...

Has anyone stopped eating rice because of the news released about 2 weeks ago? The doctors on a few of the new programs suggested not eating rice until they found out where and how the arsenic was getting into the rice. The levels of arsenic are dangerously high.

I was using Uncle Ben's ready rice pouches, but they said those have arsenic too. I have been substituting pasta, which isn't always tasty to put a stir-fry on.

Here's a few links about the problem.

Ohhhhhh noooooooooo!! Panic time!! Seriously though - the article doesn't sound like it's that big of a deal, the FDA doesn't recommend anything and it sounds like to really be affected you'd have to eat a lot of rice. I think my rice cooker won't be banished from the kitchen yet.

After reading the FDA page, it doesn't sound as bad as it did initially. Of course the news programs like to sensationalize everything, but it was enough to make me quit eating rice. Maybe I'll just cut way down on the rice.. maybe once every two weeks or so.
