I usually eat 1 meal a day usually consists mainly of pasta or potatoes to fill me up and 2 snacks, usually one in the morning such as crisps and one in the evening which is normally toast or soup, is this bad? Are there better ways to loose weight? Any tips....?

Yes there are much better ways to loose weight. Well I personally think so. Crisps in the morning is not a good way to start of the day they are full of saturated fat and salt so as well as not being the best food for weight lost they arent good to keep your insides healthy. Try something like porridge or greek yoghurt with fruit and a tiny bit of honey for breakfast? or whole meal toast ? will all keep you full up for much longer than a bag of crisp. As in general eat 3 small meals a day and 2 snacks. Try to only have carbs with your dinner for best results. I find that crackers really help if I feel in the need of carbohydrates , will give you fibre and you can get crackers that have as little as 20 calories per crakcer. If you have a sweet tooth for a snack you can get health bars that usually have fruit and yoghurt on them or special k snacks. Hope that made sense and may help a little I find those things work for me and lots of friends.

I am rarely awake early enough for breakfast, and when I am i don't feel like eating so early... so when i say in the morning its more late morning/afternoon i think that's why i tend to have a big lunch, and a light snack at dinner time... then I'm usually hungry at 9-10 pm. lol!

If you're really eating only 1 meal and two snacks.. Yes that's bad.. You need more meals and exercise.

If you're getting hungry at night then there's probably tweaking you can do-- honestly we can't tell you much without you opening your diary.

Hard to say without seeing your diary but studies have shown that eating smaller more frequent meals can help you speed up your metabolism, stay satisfied longer and therefore lose weight (I was successful this way). I eat 3 main meals with 2 snacks, but the snacks are not crisps or chips (not normally and when they are...I'll say I regret wasting calories on them b/c they are not satisfying and I'm hungry again too soon). My diary is open... you're welcome to look at it, but I'd say add lots more fruits and vegetables to your day....if you were to put a weeks worth of what you ate on a table, it should look like a primary rainbow (lots of beautiful, natural colors - purple, blue, green, red, yellow, orange....); if you look at your food and see brown, tan, beige....it's not healthy. I'm not saying you can't eat brown, beige, tan...I'm just saying that shouldn't be all it is.

You need to fill up on lean proteins, not pasta and potatoes. Protein will keep you full longer, too.

You ask for input on your food yet your diary isn't open...kinda like taking your car to the garage to get fixed but not letting the mechanic pop the hood me thinks.
