Can anyone help me with my Food Diary (calorie Intake)

Okay, so I'm having some trouble with this whole eating a certain amount of calories according to how active you are and how much you weigh etc. Right now I eat around 1000 calories a day approx. and it seems to be working fine, but apparently you're supposed to be eating more than that to lose weight correctly and healthily, or so I've heard. NO I'm not anorexic/ trying to lose weight super fast, I just only eat that many calories and am satisfied/full.

Is this okay? Or should I be eating more? I'm 5'7 and weigh approx 134 pounds if that makes a difference!

Any advice would be much appreciated :)

If it is working for you, great. If it stops working, try something different.

It is recommended that you don't eat under 1,200 calories as a general rule. That said the best way to figure out your calories to eat each day is to figure out your BMR (this is the # of calories your body would burn if you were in a hospital bed in a coma) and your TDEE ( BMR * activity level).

You want your intake to be in between the 2 numbers to lose weight. Eat your TDEE to mantain. You don't want to eat below your BMR as that is the # of calories your body needs to function.

For example. I am 5'3'' 129lbs. My BMR is 1304. I never want to eat less than 1304 calories. My TDEE about 1800 calories. I want to eat less than that to lose weight. I set my goal @ 1535 calories per day (TDEE-15%). I try to eat that #. I only eat back exercise calories if my NET drops below my BMR, then I eat only enough to get to my BMR.

    Hope this helps.
