How to log excercise for a job on my feet

I work as a hairstylist and work long days on my feet, yet the only option under excercise is "fishing from a river bank"? Can anyone help me figure out an accurate way to log the amount of calories I burn?

Rather than entering it as exercise, you should include in your activity level, since it's your job and you do it all the time. Choose Lightly Active or Active, or whichever option best fits your daily routine. Your daily calories will adjust accordingly in your profile.

If it's something you do for your job and you've been doing it before, how was it helping with your weight loss? Our bodies become very efficient and doing the same repeated action and standing over sitting doesn't really burn that much extra. I'd call it a bonus that you don't have a desk job and not worry about compensating yourself for it.

I work as a sales associate at Ulta and i also work in the kitchen/drive-thru/front cashier/everything at schlotzsky's and some days i will work 830-330 at one place and 4-10 at the other. so for being on my feet and cobstantly moving for these long days i log it as 2 hrs of walking at a slow pace which is usually around 400-450 cal or so. tjough the time estimate is low, i find mfp likes to overestimate calories burned in any given activity, and taking into account my body is used to thia type of activity in much smaller doses (5 hrs or so) i feel this is a fair trade off. plus my les are sore and killing me after these kinds of work days so I KNOW i burned some calories for sure!

I work weekends in a greenhouse, and I log it as less than half the time that I'm at work (for instance 2 hours instead of 4 hours) using "gardening". Do you think this seems reasonable for the time being? Its a very on your feet job, and I'm constantly moving. The only time I'm standing still doing repetitive motions is when I'm planting and there hasn't been much of that lately (and even then I have to push carts around and lift plants off and onto the floor and hook them to tubes).

In the spring when the job goes back to full time, I'll up my activity level.
