I'm still working on that one as well. Trying to switch to Gatorade and then 1/2 water one half Gatorade. Then of course just water.0

this was years ago but i switched to water and crystal light.. really good... now i only drink crystal light at dinner.
if caffeine is the problem 4 you you can drink tea instead, or coffee if youd like. if you have a tea shop near you even if you dont like tea theyre guaranteed to have something youd like!0 -

I don't...Coke Zero has only 1 cal....0 -
I was never a huge soda drinker to begin with, but in the end, I just realized how disgusting it is, and remind myself how sh*tty it makes me feel every time I drink it. I almost NEVER drink it now, and to be honest, I kind of hate it...0

I didnt stop, I still drink it once in a while.0

I just stopped, cold turkey. It was hard and I craved coke something fierce. But now I drink water, lots of water. Sometimes I have a sip of my husband's coke, but that's it. I don't even crave it anymore. Cutting out soda will definitely help with the weight loss! Good luck.
ETA: I quit drinking it almost 4 years ago.0 -
dont buy it anymore and find a replacement.
I drink healthy hot chocolate = cocoa tbsp + artificial sweetener
coffee or tea.0 -
I quit cold turkey 5-6 years ago. Back then, I didn't need it for the weight loss (I was a whole 120, lol), but I was super concerned for my teeth at the time. I don't miss it now; I can only drink one of the little mini-cans now at a time, and I might drink 1-2 of those in a month.
I think at the time I had started making iced tea at home, where I could control the sugar level. These days I've cut out all of the added sugars and switched to water because of a slew of ongoing dental problems that I really want to put behind me. It would be great for my dentist to be happy at my next checkup!!0 -
I started weaning myself, starting with diet soda. Now I'm hooked on water with a juice packet, there are so many to choose from. Crush soda has they're own brand as well. Tastes great, even without carbonation. I don't believe you have to completely get rid of your poison. Once a week can be a treat for a job well done.0

Diabetes will go a LONG way to making you stop drinking soda.
But I will still have the occasional diet ginger ale...its the only diet soda I can stand.0 -

Pop? You mean like pringles? but you can't drink pringles... well I mean unless you blend them but that just sounds nasty0 -
I did not stop - I drink 1 diet pepsi with dinner. I cut it out of my day at work (used to drink 1 before work and the 2 or 3 more at work - but always diet). Now during the day I drink either plain water or add a sugar free flavor packet to my water.0

I buy Ice mountain sparkling water and mix 8oz of it with 4oz of lemonade. It's like a 60cal soda. I know it isn't the same as normal soda but the one thing that I loved about soda was the carbonation so I found a substitute.0

I didn't.
I switched to diet. I know some people HATE the taste of diet. I was one of those people. Still, if you force yourself to drink diet when you want a regular soda, after a week or so, you wont be able to tell the difference. REALLY. On the off chance I go out to eat and order a diet coke, I am always paranoid that They might have given me a regular one because I absolutely cannot tell the difference anymore. And trust me, I HATED diet coke.
I also have cut down all my soda intake drastically. I never drank more than 2 a day in the beginning, now it's more like 1 every other day. I do this by buying juices and packs of individually bottled water and poweraid zero and vitamin water, and even bought some MIO and Chrystal light. If you have easy-to-grab, tasty drink options available to you at any moment, you are far less likely to grab the easy soda.0
