activity level

Hi all,

I have set my activity level at light - I work at home on the computer a fair bit, but also do household chores, walk kids to school, walk to the shops at times and on Mondays and Fridays I have my three-year old home with me, so my day also includes lots of chasing after her.

I wore a pedometer for the first time today and have had it on since 8.30am (so about 2 hours after getting up), it is not 5.20pm and , apparently, I have done 13000 steps. Now, I'm sure I do fewer on the days my daughter is in daycare - but I'm thinking my activity level might actually me "moderate". I don't want to starve myself for nothing!

Thoughts?

Oh yes, definetly, your activity is moderate to active. Your calories definetly need to be increased to make sure you're getting adequate nutrients for your busy lifestyle.

    Thanks for your response.

I might wear it again on a day I'm not chasing the preschooler and see what that shows. I suspect fewer, but still likely to be high-ish. It's not like I sit on my bum all day anyway! Although there is a lot of that with my work :)

But, no wonder I felt hungry all day today!
