Xfitters!

I am looking for support from others out there who participate in crossfit classes.

I currently go 4 times a week. The lower body strength training is going well for me. I squat pretty heavy weight. But after 4 months, I still am using bands to do pull ups. And my endurance is greatly lacking. I can make it through about 1 300m run, and after that I am huffing and puffing. Everything in short spurts is pretty doable, but I often give out on those 25min WODs.

I am not an exercise or health freak. I am just a normal girl trying to balance getting healthy and mostly eating right while still enjoying an occasional night out at buffalo wild wings or a late night trip to cookout for a milkshake (for some examples).

I am 5'9.5" and my goal is to get back into my size 8 pants. I am thinking that 180lbs will get me there. I'm currently at 193lbs and am comfortable in my 10s. I started at 201lbs and busting out of size 12s.

It would be nice to friend some people on here that have similar workout routines and outlooks on food. (I love food and am not willing to give it up... just cutting back the portions and frequency of the bad stuff).

  • I have been cross-fitting for the past 3 months. Absolutely addicted. I go between 3-5 times per week depending on how busy I am. I love food as well lol. I am going gluten free (I am sensitive to it anyway) and I am trying to eat clean.

My stats are: height: 5'3, weight: 142, goal: 120 and/or bf% at or under 18%.

I am hoping to get to a point where competing in weightlifting competitions or figure competitions would be a reality for me. I have always been interested in olympic-style weightlifting (I was on the team in high school).

In response to your WOD comment, if you aren't dying you aren't going hard enough LOL. Just kidding, but actually I really hate it when I get through a workout with no problems. For instance, we did a EMOM on Thursday and I had ZERO penalties for a missed minute. My trainer immediately said, "You need to up your weight on the bar then". I think xfit is a different mentality than other programs in terms of always pushing to the extreme. OH and don't worry, I can only do 1 pull up. I can kip 2 in a row but thats it. Trust the process, show up to workouts, and you WILL see the results as long as you are eating right (like any other program).

Keep up the GREAT work and go you for committing to such a wonderful and aggressive program lol. Go Crossfit GIRLS!

Getting fit to run you can try couch 2 5 k

Endurance comes from repeating the action, over and over for longer periods of time.
