HALT for emotional eaters....

I understand very well that too Hungry, Angry, Lonely, and Tired causes me to binge.... but once I get into one of these cycles, it just seems to, um, "feed" on itself until it plays itself out. I know all the standard "fixes:" meditation, mindfulness, exercise, etc. but even when I am DOING these things, they don't seem to alleviate the underlying issues. Would love some creative suggestions.. :flowerforyou:

    No particular solutions, I'm afraid, other than trying to find a distraction of some sort - not always easy to come by - but sending hugs, and hoping others have some solutions to offer, as I am ever-aware of this propensity in myself. :flowerforyou: (I wish there was a 'hug' icon...)

    Try the book by Gillian Riley - Eating less. It's all about over eating/binging. I found it really good.
