Is it wrong to hate myself?

I feel that it's wrong to confess that I hate myself. But I do.
I hate the way I look. I hate the way I feel. I hate that I can't stay motivated. I hate that I can't stick to my weight loss. I hate that I eat my way though depression. I hate the way I feel after I eat something 'bad'. I hate that I give up so easily. I hate that I feel sorry for myself.
Does anyone else feel like this? How do you cope?

Are you getting therapy for your depression?
Is it wrong to hate yourself? I don't know. I do know that it's not wrong to admit what you're really thinking.
You need to address the feelings you have before you will see a lot of progress. Loving yourself makes being healthy a thousand times easier.
I don't know what the answers are, but I hope you find a way to overcome the struggles that you are dealing with. My heart goes out to you. There are so many people struggling with depression and it affects a lot of areas of life.0 -
Wrong and right are judgement calls. However, it is not healthy. You definitely should talk to someone you trust or a professional to get at the root of these issues.0

Yeah, I agree, you would benefit from some counselling. It must be miserable to think that way - and you can change your thoughts. It just takes practice.0

You're not alone, a lot of people struggle with feelings like these. I do. Some therapy might be useful, and don't beat yourself up.0

I find using the energy you're putting in to hating yourself as energy to push even harder kinda helps. I'm not saying cultivate it, but use it as motivation to carry on! I look at my belly in the mirror and hate it, I hate how it feels when I'm sat down, I hate that when I feel full I carry on eating just because it tastes nice...but then all that hateful energy comes out of my muscles when I'm working out, and it helps me run even further when I want to stop.
Sometimes getting angry gets a lot of things out. Harness it, and use it. And before you know it you'll have a body you don't hate.0
