How many calories do you typicall burn at each workout. I have tried to maintain a 500 calorie workout +/- 5 times a week. Is this about right?

It's been stated in articles that I've read that to burn 1lb of fat from your body you must burn 3500 calories, that's 500 a day - 7 days a week. You are on the right track!0

It varies with your age, sex, fitness and goals. IMHO your goal is reasonable for you.
The bottom line is, what level of exercise fits your schedule and your lifestyle so that you will be more likely to continue exercising even after your weight loss goals are met? The key to a long healthy life with an intact brain is to make exercise a regular part of your life forever.0 -
The 3500 for a pound of fat is correct - but remember you burn calories every minute of every day and then exercise on top of that (calculate your BMR). So you do not need to burn 3500 a week from exercise alone. Add your BMR to your exercise regimine and that will tell you what you are burning a day. Hope this helps!0

I try and burn at least 1000 calories a day. I'm normally around 1500ish. I
work out about 90 minutes to 2 hours a day.
