Woman's Pant Sizes Vs. Man's Pant Sizes

I guess this is one of life's mysterious questions...... Why are women's pant sizes 0,2,4,6,8,10..... Wouldn't it just be easier if they were made like men's 32X34. I'd rather buy some pants that were more accurate towards waist size rather than an even or odd number that's different in every store!

My little non-important rant of the day. :happy:
