Good day from "Down Under".

I joined MFP about 3 weeks ago. Just wondering if there are more older MFP subcribers like myself out there. Don't get me wrong. I am starting to collect MFP friends who are very friendly and extra supportive. Any 50 plus out there with hormone problems to deal with? Hope to hear from you. Cheers

  • I just joined about 5 minutes ago. I turned 60 this summer and have about 70 pounds to lose. That is still about 15 pounds more than I weighed the day I got married. I have been to Weight Watchers and actually got down to goal weight in the 1980's. Obviously I didn't stay there. I have been up and down for the last 25 years but lately it is more up than down. I have a very undisciplined personality. It isn't as easy as just deciding to do something and sticking to it. I know what I should eat but am easily side tracked. I don't have a lot of trouble in the day but struggle every night with my eating. I eat when I am not hungry and until I am stuffed. I know my problems are psychological but don't know how to fix them. I work varied shifts so it is hard to establish an eating pattern. It also disrupts my sleeping patterns so I don't get enough sleep. Lack of sleep triggers migraines. When I don't feel good I eat and when I am tired I eat more. A friend recommended this website so I am going to give it a try. I am going to commit to exercising 3 days a week to start. I hope to hear from those older people who struggle like I do. Especially those who have been able to make positive changes in their lives.
