Need inspiration and motivation

I usually don't have any problem getting my *kitten* moving because the thing that spurred me to get healthy (the death of a friend), is enough to get me going. Not tonight. Last night, I couldn't get to sleep until after 5am. I was then woken at 9am by my tendinitis acting up (guess I did too much with the weights last night?)

Even after dinner and a cup of coffee, I'm just dragging. I can seem to convince myself to get my butt out of my computer chair. I saw a loss of 3lbs this morning (after kicking my own *kitten* exercising last night), which should be enough to inspire me, but I'm just not feeling it. I'd usually give myself the night off on nights like this, but I already took my 2 nights off this week. I got a little movement in earlier when I went grocery shopping, but not much.

So what say you, fellow MFPers? Any motivation or inspiration for this girl? Or do I just give up tonight and try again tomorrow after a good night's rest?

The tendinitis is in both wrists and right shoulder, in case anyone was wondering. I'm stuck wearing my stupid brace today.

I have the same problem. I shattered my left shoulder 18 months ago and also have carpal tunnel in both wrists. There are days that I just can't get off my butt, either.

I have a hand bike that I use and also Leslie Sansone videos. I get more motivated when I can get outside.

Feel free to add me as a friend if you want!
  • Hang in there! Don't be discouraged. We all need a day off here and there....Jump back on tomorrow ...try to get a good nite sleep, cut the coffee out - and tomorrow morning you'll be ready for a new start....

I sometimes feel down and not wanting to exercise....I have medical issues too...but I'm not gonna let it pull me down! I know I'm 100 lbs overweight but take one day at a time...walk for 20 minutes in the morning, take another form of exercise later in the day and at nite another 20 minutes (and you'll realized you put an hour of ex. in a day)....slowly increase your activity level by minutes or intensity.....

    Good luck......

Just start with walking. The fresh air will make you feel better and gradually you'll have more energy for other things. Take your headphones.

I say give yourself a break girl and get some rest! If I was running on 4 hours of sleep i would be dragging too.... and no amount of coffee would help!! Get a good night sleep and you wil feel better tomorrow:smile:

I misread what you said, sorry. Thought you meant in general. I'm distracted.
