Okay. This has now become embarrassing. I have joined a weight loss challenge and have GAINED every week so far. It’s like Duuhhh…helluurr…you have signed up for a weight “LOSS” challenge…helluurr (In my Tyler Perry – Madea voice). Really self? Really? This is how it is going to be?
I write down everything I eat…and it’s bad…but that doesn’t seem to bother me…because no one sees my diary. Well that is going to change. I have decided to do the unthinkable….....pause for dramatic effect.....….I am going to make my diary available for my friends to view…all ten of them…LOL! No matter the number…the thought of having someone view what I eat is frightening because it has been so terrible! I am a truthful person…so no matter how ugly things are…I write it all down. So I KNOW by doing this…it is going to help me make better choices….maybe one day I will even make it public...yikes! Got to start with the baby step first. :-)
Wish me luck and feel free to send me a friend request…the more people I know are looking ….the better.

First of all, I don't care for weight loss challanges because they go based on weight. Obviously. I'm going to point out why that sucks for some people.
If you have started a new exercise plan, your muscles will retain water to repair themselves. For up to three weeks.
If the weigh ins are any time other then in the morning, your weight can fluctuate dramatically with anything you drink or eat.
If you eat something high in sodium, your body will retain water.
Hell, even wearing tennis shoes over flip flops can have an affect on the scale number.
If you want to lose weight for yourself and not just for the competition, eat at deficit and exercise reasonably.0 -
Totally get the frustration. I joined an October challenge here. 1st week, no loss. 2nd week, gained .5 lb. The challenge lists the top weight loss losers every week. So glad they don't list the top gainers. :blushing:0

Hellur! I find a public diary is almost like shaming myself into having a good diet. Don't get me wrong I prefer to eat healthy but it makes me actually think about what I'm eating0
