I notice when I get on my treadmill I can do 2 miles@ 3.5mph in like 40 mins and it will say I burned 215 calories, but when I log it in MFP it will say I have burned 290 calories. I would like to know what everyone is in this case. I dont want to account for too many or too few calories.

You would need an hrm or fitbit to be precise. Everyone is different, height,weight etc for calorie burns. I would go with the lower amount to be safe. This may help http://www.livestrong.com/article/80974-calculate-calories-burned-treadmill/
