Is it terrible if you eat too much protein? I usually make sure I get enough on the day's I exercise but today is my rest day? Any advice would be awesome.

Thanks!!

Is it terrible to go over once in a while ? Nah ! But you don't want to regularily eat more than you need because the body doesn't store protein but eliminates it through the kidneys which can suffer from a diet that contains too much for too long.

MFP tends to be alittle too low with their protein allowance. I'm pretty much always over, (usually anywhere from 8 to 35) and still managed to lose most of the weight that I wanted to.
  • I am usually under so I don't worry much, it was just something I haven't read alot bad things about .:flowerforyou:

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Depending on your goals, you may not be getting enough protein. I noticed that for my particular goals, myfitnesspal.com greatly underestimates the amount of protein I need in my daily diet. It also greatly inflates the carbs. I had to customize it.

At any rate, I wouldn't worry too much about extra protein. It will help repair muscle fibers damaged by working out.
