how big is 6oz of chicken.
how about 6oz of sliced turkey meat each slice 1/8''

    6 oz of chicken meat.... approx the size of your palm 2 inches wide by 3 inches long by 1/2 inch thick
    6 oz of deli turkey meat is approx 4 to 6 slices ... 5 to 6 inch radius

    so rule of thumb for deli meat is each slice is 1oz?

    sometimes just a bit less... I just slapped some deli sliced turkey on my scale to give you an idea and 1 slice was just under an ounce.

    thanks. ill play it safe and round up though. 1 slice = 1 oz good enough for me

    be careful of the sodium count in deli meat....you would be better off cooking a turkey breast and slicing it down for yourself. just a thought.
