edited January 2 in Health and Weight Loss
MFP has my daily calories at around 1290 and I try and eat around this everyday, some days I go over or under but lately I've noticed a pattern..I'm at college during the week and usually because I would be going more I'd eat less, however, when I come up I tend to eat a little more dinnerwise as well to keep me going for the week so my daily calories can jump up to 1400...is this bad, just wondering is this what will cause me to gain weight?..And should I be balancing it out more evenly over the 7 days?

Thanks anyone who can give advice on this, quite anxious my exercise is for nothing if i'm only eating more at weekends.

Well when you say you eat more around dinner to keep you going for the rest of the week, yes, you should even that out over the week instead. Also, on those weekend dinners, check out your portion sizes but being that it's only about 100 calories, it shouln't hurt you much if at all since it is not consistent over the whole week

Lots of people go on weekly totals not daily. Some people also cycle calories up one day down the next and other even fast for short periods....it's whatever works for you. Generally if your week evens out to a deficit you should continue to lose. Don't forget weight loss is not linear it seems to happen in chunks.

Thanks for the replies, kind of was thinking the same thing myself, just need to even it out a bit more but having low calorie days also works too. :)
