I have been on a 12 week Nutrition and fitness program-Michelle Bridges 12 week body Transformation. Which is an Australian 1200 cal a day diet, you are unable to eat back exercise calories. But throughout the program my weight loss has stalled a few times and I'm not 100% sure why, i drink plenty of water, green tea and the like it could be the snacks, could be that I've gone over my calorie limit a few times, which isn't hard as I am famished constantly! Could anyone tell me what snacks I should be eating in between meals. The main meals are non-negotiable really.. I eat what the program provides. I also must add i exercise 6 days a week and work as a cleaner. Diary is open for your viewing pleasure. Thanks... and no negative comments please, i'm willing to take any advice on board

Hey there
I am also doing MB 12WBT - doing the Lean and Strong program - I have found it has been very up and down with the weight loss but LOADS of Cm's off.
What program are you doing? How many KG's were you aiming to lose this round? I will have a look at your diary and see if I can see anything
Cheers0 -
Hi there, thanks for your reply
I am doing the intermediate program but must admit I only do classes, I don't follow the exercise plans she provides. I do, cardio, strength etc on the set days though. I was hopeing to lose a little more than I have and at least get to a healthy bmi which is roughly just under 10kgs but may have got a little excited with that figure! 5.3 kilos I've lost in the 8 weeks and 27.5cms. But i have been the same weight the last two weigh ins and I also didn't lose weight on week 5 and week 2, might be a little bit of a pattern forming there..0 -
This not eating exercise calories back and restricting to 1200 calories is crazy!
Sorry. I'm sure it works for some people I shouldn't be so negative.
Here's the deal. You are active all day long and you exercise burning 600 calories a day 6 days a week. So if you don't eat back your exercise calories you're only giving your body 600 calories to live on and that's just not enough. Children need more than that I bet. No wonder you're always hungry.
Does the diet program know you work on your feet all day and work out that much? Do they even ask?0 -
I just want to point out a few things.
You're eating 1200 calories - Exercise. Exercise can be anywhere from 200-500 calories, even more if you're kicking @ss. So in essence your body is running on less then 1000 calories a day, sometimes only 6-700. That is a single meal. No wonder you're feeling famished all the time.
I think you would feel better, perform better and not feel starving all the time if you go here:

And figure out what you SHOULD be eating every day.
When you eat is not very relevant in the long run. Eat your snacks when you want to your own liking. See here:

If you can keep going with this diet, then that is up to you. I just think that there are better, more satiating ways to go about losing the weight, even if it is a bit slower.0 -

Also, what she said.0 -

No, they aren't aware of how much I do during the day and don't ask. 1200cals a day is set for all members on the program with the exception of pregnant women and men.
I am aware of this post and have read up on it previously thankyou I've also had two of my friends who are in the fitness industry tell me that I am way to active to be consuming such little calories. I really want to stick it out and finish this but it seems my body is suffering instead of benefiting like it does for a majority of the other members and now I'm afraid i'm going to gain back all the weight i've lost by returning to a reasonable calorie amount a day. I know it will need to be a gradual process.
Also no, the times i've plateaued haven't been TTOM .0 -
I would say mix it up - do some of the workouts provided too
1200 cals is low while training but it has kick started my weight loss and CM's lost too - I have lost dress size and back in loads of pre-pregnancy jeans
Just eat clean train mean for the next 4 weeks!0 -
I'm not surprised your worried about gaining the weight back when you finish the plan. What else do you think your body is going to do when you go from giving it 600-700 cals a day to say 1400-1500 daily? It will think its Christmas! You obviously know this is a bad plan to follow as you stated in your post, no negative replies please. Well sorry I don't have any positive things to say about a crash diet that advocates practically starving yourself. You sound like an intelligent woman whom probably knows this plan isn't sustainable I think. Seriously it sucks!!0

This. The plan may work okay if you were sedentary besides the workouts, but you are not. You are active. You most likely would have lost more if you ate 1500 calories, or so, a day. And your body wouldn't gain everything back when the program ends. Since you know you need to eat more there isn't anything anyone can really say at this point to help you.0 -

I don't think that will make much of a difference, I'm already doing quite a variety of different classes currently, which i mix up constantly, I even climb Mt Lofty every few weeks. I don't think it's the exercise that matters as long as I'm burning cals perhaps if i was focusing on my physique after i'd got to goal, but I am still 5 kilos away from a healthy bmi..
I've witnessed others have so much success with this program, yet here I am stalling every few weeks and I'm trying to put my complete and utter trust in Mish, cos at the end of the day she's the professional but I think my circumstances are a little different, my body isn't responding to this now and I'm finding I am binging, most of time lucky for me it's healthy binging but still not good and the guilt, well yes that's a whole new post all together! The mindset lessons are terrific but I agree with most, 1200 cals a day is just too little for someone like me0
