I made lots of eating mistakes today. I have been doing well for about 25 days. This morning I ran out of food and time and it left me scrambling what to eat on the way to work............I thought 7-eleven hot dog.........nope I gave up eating hot dogs. I'm driving all around...............ended getting a BLT with mayo on wheat................i didn't make it so I couldn't control the calories, I should have said no to the mayo, I made a mistake. I also made too many snack choices. The point is one mistake is not going to make you gain. Also I'm beginning to use the log on the bottom of the tracker to make notes to myself. Once you start writting stuff down you can go back and look where u made a mistake. Today I ate out of emotion and I recognize that......

I just wish thin people knew how hard us "lossers" have to work to improve!!

I SOOO agree with that. I work for a lady whose whole family is naturally slim. None of them have ever had to battle weight. For a lot of reasons when I started this Journey I did not tell her that I was going to the gym or trying to lose weight (I refuse to call it a Diet) She did not comment about my losing weight until I had lost 90 pounds. She sees me every day, but just didn't think to mention that she had noticed that I was losing.:noway:

I’d like to stand up for the ‘thin people’, if I may... and hope I don’t cause any offense!!

There are thin people out there who eat whatever they want, and seem to live on a diet of junk food without putting on any weight, but that doesn’t mean they are healthy. In fact you would probably find that they carry a lot of fat around their internal organs which is not good, while we MFP people who are taking control of what we eat and who are exercising are probably a lot fitter and healthier than these thin people! That’s awesome – we are really doing something great for ourselves!

Now, I’m not “overweight”, and people have often told me that I don’t need to lose weight and that I’m lucky to be ‘naturally thin’, however they don’t seem to realise that I have to work really hard too, and for me it’s a matter of being healthy not thin. I struggle to eat the right foods every day, and I have days (like yesterday) where I know I eat the wrong things, and way too much, and don’t exercise, and I beat myself up over it but I’m slowly learning to take the good with the bad, and realise that one bad day or one bad meal won’t make me gain weight all of a sudden. I respect that some MFP members have a lot of weight that they want to lose, and I truly admire their commitment, but please realise that even though I don’t have lots of weight to lose, as a ‘thin’ person I still have the same struggles that everyone here has – emotional eating, cravings, lack of motivation – and I truly do understand how hard every person on here is working to improve because I also live it every day.

Anyway, keep up the great work everyone, and stay healthy :)

I am one of those with a lot of weight to lose but I think that was very respectfully expressed.
